Who is Al Gore?

It is impossible to answer the question in one sentence. He is a former Vice President of the US, but he is the co-founder and chairman of Generation Investment Management as well. However, the most important fact about him, at least concerning the climate crisis, is that he is the founder and chairman of The Climate Reality Project.  This is a nonprofit organization devoted to solving the climate crisis.

If you did not know any of these facts, probably you have heard about a famous documentary involving his work. He is the subject of “An Inconvenient Truth,” which won two Oscars in 2006. Moreover, in 2007, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for “informing the world of the dangers posed by climate change.” Now that you are aware of that, it is no surprise that the speech of Al Gore in Davos was expected.

Many people do not give credit to Greta’s remarks because the truth has to be said, she is a kid. Thus, perhaps hearing a mature and experienced man speaking might convince Davos’ audience that something is not right with the world.

Witty remarks from Al Gore in Davos

Well, according to Al Gore in Davos, the climate crisis “is Thermopylae. This is Agincourt… it is the Battle of the Bulge [the climate crisis] is Dunkirk. This is 9/11,”. It seems some politicians are worried about their own countries, as can be understood by Donald Trump’s speech. On the other hand, Al Gore calls their attention to the fact that the crisis is no different from the very individual wars many nations have fought.

Ending his discourse, Gore stated that while the environment is walking towards disaster, “political will is itself a renewable resource”. Words like this set the responsibility for doing something in the audience’s shoulders, but they were received with great applause. It seems that the speech Al Gore in Davos will have good results in terms of funding. In order to keep up with his interference in economic issues, continue to follow Finances Credit!
